S2000 Custom Tunings

Tires

  • Front Tire Pressure: 2.0 BAR
  • Rear Tire Pressure: 2.0 BAR

Setting both ends to 2.0 BAR maintains a balanced contact patch to match the car's 50/50 weight distribution.

Gearing

  • Final Drive: 4.40
  • 1st Gear: 2.90
  • 2nd Gear: 2.05
  • 3rd Gear: 1.55
  • 4th Gear: 1.25
  • 5th Gear: 1.05
  • 6th Gear: 0.90

Closely spaced gears keep the high-revving engine inside its powerband during upshifts, preventing the car from falling out of VTEC.

Alignment

  • Camber (Front): -1.5°
  • Camber (Rear): -1.2°
  • Toe (Front): 0.0°
  • Toe (Rear): -0.1° (In)
  • Front Caster: 6.0°

A small amount of rear toe-in (-0.1°) stabilizes the rear axle, preventing the car from wandering or snapping out during sudden transitions.

Antiroll Bars

  • Front: 18.00
  • Rear: 22.00

The slightly stiffer rear antiroll bar encourages the neutral chassis to rotate more easily through tight corners.

Springs

  • Front Springs: 68.0 kgf/mm
  • Rear Springs: 64.0 kgf/mm
  • Ride Height (Front): 14.5 cm
  • Ride Height (Rear): 16.9 cm

Softer rear springs allow weight to transfer to the back of the car under acceleration, improving rear-wheel traction on street pavement.

Damping

  • Rebound Stiffness (Front): 8.2
  • Rebound Stiffness (Rear): 7.8
  • Bump Stiffness (Front): 4.9
  • Bump Stiffness (Rear): 4.7

Bump and rebound stiffness are balanced to absorb street bumps quickly, keeping the lightweight chassis stable.

Brakes

  • Balance: 50%
  • Pressure: 100%
  • Entirely personal preference.
  • Differential
  • Acceleration: 45%
  • Deceleration: 15%

45% acceleration allows the car to power out of corners effectively, while 15% deceleration prevents instability when lifting off the throttle.

Overall, we built this S2000 to be extremely aggressive in turn to the point that you can almost throw your car around some turns as well. Here are the stats before > after:

  • Weight: 1,250 kg > 1,092 kg.
  • Peak Power: 184 KW > 231 KW.
  • PWR: 0.15 KW/kg > 0.21 KW/kg.
  • Lateral Gs: 1.3 > 1.4.
  • Performance class: B 503 > B 600.

End of Guide.
