AFK Journey Reinier Guide

Reinier is a disruptive warrior specializing in isolating enemy threats and offering some self-sustain. He excels in battles where he can successfully remove key enemies from the fight for a duration and is particularly potent against single, strong DPS threats.

In AFK Journey Marilee is considered an S Tier character inside the Support Class & Hypogean Faction with 5 AA-range.

Reinier Skills Guide

Reinier has 6 skills that require you to unlock by leveling up your character.

Ultimate - Mutual Reflection

This skill unlocks at level1, has a 1.25s cooldown, Global tiles range, and requires 0 Initial energy.

Skill Detail: Reinier selects an enemy, dealing 230% damage. If the count of allied non-summoned units equals or exceeds the number of enemy non-summoned units on the battlefield, Reinier enters another dimension with the target for 10s. Other wise, Reinier remains on the battlefield. If the target is under Steadfast or Unaffected, or if the target is the only non-summoned enemy alive, Reinier will deal 450% damage instead of entering another dimension. This skill prioritizes the healthiest non-summoned enemy.

Upgrade Skill as the following level down below:

Unlocks at level 51: The Mutual Reflection works on an extra enemy if non-summoned enemies outnumber allies by at least 2. Reduces the duration of transferring this enemy to another dimension to 7s.

Unlocks at level 111: Increases the damage to 250%. The damage is increased to 460% if the target is steadfast, unaffected or the only-summoned unit alive.

Unlocks at level 171: Increases the damage to 260%. The damage is increased to 480% if the target is steadfast, unaffected or the only-summoned unit alive.

Unlocks at level 231: Increases the damage to 270%. The damage is increased to 500% if the target is steadfast, unaffected or the only-summoned unit alive.

1st Skill - Dynamic Balance

This skill unlocks at level 11, with a TBD cooldown, and has a Global range.

Skill Detail: Reinier prioritizes switching an adjacent ally's position with an enemy hero if they're in a symmetrical position. Whenever the enemy hero takes damage, the allies hero restores HP to equal 45% of the enemy hero's taken damage till a battle ends. The total HP recovery amount by this means is no more than 1000% in a consecutive 8s.

Upgrade Skill as the following level down below:

Unlocks at level 71: Restores allies hero's HP equal to 46% of damage dealt.

Unlocks at level 131: Restores allies hero's HP equal to 48% of damage dealt.

Unlocks at level 191: Restores allies hero's HP equal to 50% of damage dealt.

2nd Skill - Golden Ratio

his skill unlocks at level 31, with a 12s cooldown, and Global range.

Skill Detail: Reinier launches a mighty strike against the healthiest enemy through the portal, interrupting them and dealing 45% damage 8 times. Afterward, Reinier punches and knocks them up, dealing 120% damage. If the enemy's HP is above 61.8%, then each hit attaches extra damage equal to 1% of their current HP, up to 20% of ATK.

Upgrade Skill as the following level down below:

Unlocks at level 91: Reinier senses satisfaction when each enemy hero's HP drops below 61.8% fo the first time, recovering 200% of his ATK as HP and 80 energy.

Unlocks at level 151: The damage of each strike is increased to 1.2% of the enemy's current HP.

Unlocks at level 211: Reiniers shares satisfaction with allies when each enemy hero's HP drops below 61.8% for the first time, granting all allies 120% of his ATK as HP and 50 energy.

Hero Focus

You can unlock Hero Focus after reaching Legendary, with a TBD cooldown, and 1 tile range.

Skill Detail: Reinier's Dynamic Balance increases the target's ATK by 7% when cast on an ally or reduces the target ATK by 7% when cast on an enemy.

Level 2: Reinier's Dynamic Balance increases the target's ATK by 10% when cast on an ally or reduces the target ATK by 10% when cast on an enemy.

Level 3: Reinier's Dynamic Balance increases the target's ATK by 12% when cast on an ally or reduces the target ATK by 12% when cast on an enemy.

Ex. Skill - Tuned Art

You can unlock Exclusive skill after reaching Mythic, with a TBD cooldown, and Global range.

Skill Detail: Reinier deals 200% damage to the enemy and knocks them down when casting Dynamic Balance, increasing their damage taken by 25% till the battle ends.

Upgrade Skill as the following level down below:

Unlocks at Ex. Weapon +5: Increases damage dealt to the enemy to 250%.

Unlocks at Ex.Weapon +10: Reduces the position-switched ally's damage taken by 25% till the battle ends.

Unlocks at Ex.Weapon +15: Increases damage dealt to the enemy to 300%.

Enhance Force

You can unlock Enhance Force after reaching Supreme.

Affect of Skill 1: Reinier increases the allies hero's ATK by 4% till the battle ends if they're in a symmetrical position with an enemy hero.

Reinier Pros & Cons

Pros

• Isolation: Reinier's ultimate "Mutual Reflection" allows him to potentially remove a key enemy threat from the battlefield for a significant duration.
• Disruption: He offers positional disruption with "Dynamic Balance" and an interrupt with "Golden Ratio."
• Scaling Damage: "Golden Ratio" deals extra damage based on the enemy's current HP, giving him some potential against tanky enemies.
• Sustain: Both "Dynamic Balance" and "Golden Ratio" provide some self-healing and potentially sustain for his allies.
• Flexible Ultimate: If conditions aren't met, his ultimate deals significant single-target damage instead.

Cons

• Conditional Ultimate: His ability to isolate enemies is dependent on the number of allies and enemies on the field, and it doesn't work on certain targets.
• Cooldown Reliance: His main disruption and damage are tied to the cooldowns of his skills.
