Arden Tier

Arden is a Wise Mage who can summon lightning to attack enemies under control effects.

In AFK Journey Arden is considered an A Tier character inside the Mage Class & Wilder Faction with 5 AA-range.

Arden Skills Guide

Ultimate - Force of Nature

• Unlocks at level: 1 
• Cooldown: 3s
• Range: Global
• Initial Energy: 200
• Can be enhanced

Skill Detail: Arden selects a tile and casts lightning strikes on all surrounding enemies within 2 tiles, dealing 160% damage and creating dark clouds that cover the area for 7s.

The dark clouds will repeatedly strike the enemies below with lightning when they are under control effects, dealing 80% damage each time. An enemy can only be struck once every 2s. Arden prioritizes selecting the tile with the most surrounding enemies when casting the lightning strikes.

Upgrade Skill as the following level down below:

Unlock at level 51: The first lightning strike deals 180% damage and the subsequent lightning strikes after the dark cloud deal 90% damage.

Unlock at level 111: The first lightning strike deals 190% damage, and the subsequent lightning strikes after the dark cloud deal 95% damage. The first lightning strike deals 200% damage, and the subsequent lightning strikes after the dark cloud deal 100% damage.

Unlock at level 171: The first lightning strike deals 200% damage and the subsequent lightning strikes after the dark cloud deal 100% damage.

Unlock at level 231: The first lightning strike deals 210% damage and the subsequent lightning strikes after the dark cloud deal 110% damage.

1st Skill - Entangling Roots

• Unlocks at level: 11
• Cooldown: 8s
• Range: Global

Skill Detail: Arden summons vines to entangle 2 closet enemies for 2s, dealing 50% damage every 1s. This skill prioritizes enemies under the dark cloud.

Upgrade Skill as the following level down below:

Unlock at level 71: Increases damage to 55%.

Unlock at level 131: Increases damage to 60%.

Unlock at level 191: Increases damage to 65%.

2nd Skill - Gift of Nature

• Unlocks at level: 11
• Cooldown: 8s
• Range: Global

Skill Detail: Arden summons vines to entangle 2 closet enemies for 2s, dealing 50% damage every 1s. This skill prioritizes enemies under the dark cloud.

Upgrade Skill as the following level down below:

Unlock at level 91: This effect can be triggered once for each enemy in 1.5s.

Unlock at level 191: This effect can be triggered once for each enemy in 1s.

Unlock at level 211: Arden recovers 15 energy.

Hero Focus

You can unlock Hero Focus after reaching Legendary, with a TBD cooldown, and 1 tile range.

Skill Detail: Increase ATK by 12% during battle.

Level 2: Increase ATK by 16% during battle.

Level 3: Increase ATK by 20% during battle.

Ex. Skill - Spring Thunderstorm

• Unlocks: After reaching Mythic
• Cooldown: TBD
• Range: Global

Skill Detail: Arden inflicts all enemies within the range of the dark cloud with Entangling Roots once after casting Force of Nature.

Upgrade Skill as the following level down below:

Unlock at Ex. Weapon +5: The effect range of Arden's Ultimate is extended to 3-tile.

Unlock at Ex. Weapon +10: The duration of Entangling Roots is increased to 3s.

Unlock at Ex. Weapon +15: The duration of Entangling Roots is increased to 3.5s.

Enhance Force

You can unlock Enhance Force after reaching Supreme.

Affect of Ultimate: Force of Nature's minimum thunderstrike cooldown on the same enemy is reduced by ls.

Arden Pros & Cons

Pros:

• Area of Effect (AoE) Control: Arden can inflict crowd control on multiple enemies simultaneously. His kit specializes in applying root effects in specific areas.
• Damage Potential: While primarily a control support, Arden's skills (especially his Ultimate) can contribute significant damage over time, especially when paired with other control effects.
• Synergy with Control Teams Arden is a perfect fit for compositions built around chaining crowd control effects. His dark clouds set up powerful combos with heroes that stun, freeze, or otherwise disable enemies.
• Self-Sustain: "Gift of Nature" provides some energy recovery, helping him cast his abilities more frequently.

Cons:

• Dependant on Other Heroes: Arden's true power is unlocked when he is part of a team that can take advantage of his area control and repeated lightning strikes under the dark cloud.
• Vulnerable: As a support caster, Arden isn't particularly durable. He requires protection from his team to set up his combos.
• Timing Matters: His ultimate requires careful timing and placement to maximize both initial damage and the cloud effect.
• Potential Resistance: Some enemies might be resistant to root effects, diminishing his crowd control impact.
