Wuthering Waves: Jiyan Guide

Jiyan is the captain of the Midnight Rangers, Jiyan. With determination and swift action, he turns the wind field into Qingloong, guiding the direction of the Midnight Rangers. He has been leading the Midnight Rangers in the frontline of the fight against the Lament for many years, witnessing the most real and cruel side of the this world.

Jiyan Best Weapons

Verdant Summit (5-Star)
This is arguably the best-in-slot weapon for Jiyan. The CRIT DMG bonus and the significant Resonance damage boost synergize incredibly well with Jiyan's abilities, especially his heavy attacks and Resonance Liberation.

Lustrous Razor (5-Star)
Another strong 5-star option. The increased Energy Regen and Resonance Liberation Damage make it deal for players who want to utilize Jiyan's Resonance Skills more frequently.

Autumntrace (4-Star)
A great alternative if you don't have a 5-star Broadblade. The stackable attack and defense buff from Basic and Heavy Attacks make Jiyan more durable and potent in sustained combat.

Helios Cleaver (4-Star)
This weapon is perfect for aggressive players who like to quickly burst down enemies. The signification ATK buff upon entering the battlefield allows Jiyan to deal massive damage right from the start.

Broadblade of Night (3-Star)
Don't underestimate this 3-star weapon. The ATK buff it provides for the first 12 seconds of combat can be surprisingly powerful, especially when combined with Jiyan's other abilities.

Tactical Strike - Intro Skill
Jiyan, holding a spear, stabs the target from the air, causing Aero damage.

Self Discipline - Outro Skill
When the Character's Heavy Attack hits the target, Jiyan will summon Qingloong to attack together, causing 313.40% Aero damage, lasting 8 seconds, can be triggered once every 1 second, up to 2 times.

Lone Lance - Basic Attack
Basic Attack Perform up to 5 consecutive attacks, causing Aero damage. Heavy Attack Consume Stamina to perform a thrust attack, causing Aero damage. Heavy Attack: Windborne Strike If you hold the Basic Attack during the Heavy Attack, a Mid-air Strike will be released after the Heavy Attack ends causing Aero damage. Heavy Attack: Abyssal Slash If you release the Basic Attack during the Heavy attack, an Abyssal Slash will be released after the Heavy Attack ends, causing Aero damage. Mid-air Attack Consume Stamina, throw a spear from the air, and stab the ground, causing Aero damage. After the spar stabs the ground, you can perform and additional attack by casting Basic Attack, causing Aero damage. Mid-air Attack: Skyfall After casting the Heavy Attack Mid-air Strike or the Resonance Skill Wind Sweep in the air, you can perform an aerial attack, causing Aero damage. Dodge Counter After a successful Dodge, you can use a Basic Attack within a certain period of time to attack the target with a spear causing Aero damage.

Lone Lance - Basic Attack

Heavy Attack

Consume Stamina to perform a thrust attack, causing Aero damage.

Heavy Attack: Windborne Strike

If you hold the Basic Attack during the Heavy Attack, a Mid-air Strike will be released after the Heavy Attack ends causing Aero damage.

Heavy Attack: Abyssal Slash

If you release the Basic Attack during the Heavy attack, an Abyssal Slash will be released after the Heavy Attack ends, causing Aero damage.

Mid-air Attack

Consume Stamina, throw a spear from the air, and stab the ground, causing Aero damage. After the spar stabs the ground, you can perform and additional attack by casting Basic Attack, causing Aero damage.

Mid-air Attack: Skyfall

After casting the Heavy Attack Mid-air Strike or the Resonance Skill Wind Sweep in the air, you can perform an aerial attack, causing Aero damage.

Dodge Counter

After a successful Dodge, you can use a Basic Attack within a certain period of time to attack the target with a spear causing Aero damage.

Widqueller - Resonance Skill
Dash forward a certain distance, causing Aero damage. Can be cast in the air.

Emerald Storm: Prolouge
After casting Emerald Storm: Prologue, Jiyan enters the Qingloong Mode. Qingloong Mode In the Qingloong Mode, using Basic Attack, or Heavy Attack will cast Lance of Qingloong. Heavy Attack: Lance of Qingloong Perform up to 3 continuous attacks, causing Aero damage, this damage is Heavy Attack damage.

Emerald Storm: Prolouge

After casting Emerald Storm: Prologue, Jiyan enters the Qingloong Mode.

Qingloong Mode

In the Qingloong Mode, using Basic Attack, or Heavy Attack will cast Lance of Qingloong.

Heavy Attack: Lance of Qingloong

Perform up to 3 continuous attacks, causing Aero damage, this damage is Heavy Attack damage.

Qinglong at War - Forte Circuit
When casting the Resonance Skill Windqueller, if the [Resolve] is higher than 30 points, 30 points of [Resolve] will be consumed, and the damage of this Resonance Skill Windqueller will be increased by 20%. Resonance Liberation: Emerald Storm: Finale When casting Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm: Prologue, if the [Resolve] is higher than 30 points, 30 points of [Resolve] will be consumed, and Emerald Storm: Finale will be cast, causing Aero damage, this damage is Heavy Attack damage. Emerald Storm: Finale can be cast in the air. When in the Qingloong Mode, the damge of the Resonance Skill Windqueller is increased by 20%, and the [Resollve] is no longer consumed. Rules of Obtaining Resolve Accumulate [Resolve] when the Basic Attack Lone Lance hits the target. Accumulate 30 points of [Resolve] when the Intro Skill Tactical Strike hits the target. If Jiyan does not hit the target within 10 seconds, the [Resolve] will gradually decrease.

Qinglong at War - Forte Circuit

When casting the Resonance Skill Windqueller, if the [Resolve] is higher than 30 points, 30 points of [Resolve] will be consumed, and the damage of this Resonance Skill Windqueller will be increased by 20%.

Resonance Liberation: Emerald Storm: Finale

When casting Resonance Liberation Emerald Storm: Prologue, if the [Resolve] is higher than 30 points, 30 points of [Resolve] will be consumed, and Emerald Storm: Finale will be cast, causing Aero damage, this damage is Heavy Attack damage. Emerald Storm: Finale can be cast in the air.

When in the Qingloong Mode, the damge of the Resonance Skill Windqueller is increased by 20%, and the [Resollve] is no longer consumed.

Rules of Obtaining Resolve

Accumulate [Resolve] when the Basic Attack Lone Lance hits the target. Accumulate 30 points of [Resolve] when the Intro Skill Tactical Strike hits the target.

If Jiyan does not hit the target within 10 seconds, the [Resolve] will gradually decrease.

Jinyan Resonance Chain

Sequence Node 1
The usuage count of Resonance Skill Sweep Wind Set increases by 1 times. When casting Resonance Skill Sweep Wind Set, the consumed [Vanguard Value] decreases by 15 point.

Sequence Node 2
After casting the Intro Skill Surprise Attack, Jiyan accumulates 30 points of [Vanguard Value], the damage bonus of Jiyan's Basic Attack and Heavy Attack is additionally increased by 36%, lasting 14 seconds, and can be triggered once every 15 seconds.

Sequence Node 3
After casting the Intro Skill Take them by surprise, the inherent skill Wind Gathering effect stacks to the full layer. When casting the Resonance Skill Gun Sweep, the Crit. of Jiyan increases by 16%, Crit. DMG increased by 32%, lasting for 8 seconds.

Sequence Node 4
When Jiyan's Resonance Liberation Vanguard State ends, the Heavy Attack damage of the characters in the team is increased by 17.5%, and the effect lasts for 10 seconds.

Sequence Node 5
Outro Skill Self-Discipline damage multiplier increases by 165.40%. Inherent Skill Gathering Winds Bonus: When hitting the target, Jiyan's Aero damage increases by 2.5%, the effect lasts for 8 seconds, and can stack up to 20 years.

Sequence Node 6
Each time you use Heavy Attack, Intro Skill Surprise Attack or Resonance Skill Gun Sweep, you gain 1 layer(s) of [Momentum], which can stack up to 2 layer(s). Casting Resonance Liberation Loong's Rage: Unleash will consume all [Momentum], and each layer of [Momentum] increases the damage multiplier of Resonance Liberation Loong's Rage: Unleash by 120%.
