Best Sword Skill in Where Winds Meet

If you’re a Sword main inside Where Winds Meet, you have 2 choices of sword martial art (skill) to choose from: Strategic Sword and Nameless Sword.

Note: To compare both martial arts we touch on both skills, their inner way combination, and their combo output.

Consume Endurance to drudge backward and unleash a flurry of attacks against enemies in front, inflicting Bleed. If an enemy is already affected by 5 stacks of Bleed, this attack deals massive bonus damage and clears all Bleed Stacks from them.

Second Track Slash (Charged) [Hold R]

Charge up and consume Endurance to dash forward, dealing massive damage to all enemies in your path and inflicting Bleed. During the dash, you are untargetable and immune to all damage.

Sword Heavy Attack [R] Perform up to three heavy attacks with a long sword.

Combos:

Combo1: QQ + ~

Combo 2: QQ + ~ + Hold R

When equipping Sword Horizon innerway, all skills except heavy attack [R] deal follow-up attacks and deal high blade damage to targets that are affected by 5 stacks of bleed.

Pros:

  1. Landing combo properly can deal very high damage bursts.
  2. Continuous bleed damage output makes any boss HP bar drop QUICK.
  3. Very powerful and quick for clearing enemy camps.
  4. Requires a good amount of endurance to do combo but not a lot.
  5. Good kite skill and can take lower damage from the enemy if timing the right charged skill.

Cons:

  1. Combo 2 can be hard to learn.
  2. Need good target priority to output all the expected damage.
  3. Bad Charged skills can lead to wasting a lot of endurance.

Overall, for Strategic sword, it's a great versatile skill that you can use on any type of enemy, they deal powerful burst damage, great continuous bleed damage, easy to combo, and fit for playstyle that like to get in and get out of the attack range quick, take less damage and deal most damage.

Nameless Sword | Where Winds Meet - zilliongamer

Nameless Sword + Sword Morph

Daunting Strike [Q]

Daunting Strike [Q] | Where Winds Meet - zilliongamer

Hurl a flying sword to deal minor damage, then dash forward along with the sword. During the follow-through, press again to unleash up to two strikes of Relentless Chase, each dealing increased damage. After casting the second strike of Relentless Chase, you gain a Qi shield that lasts 3s.

Shadow Step [~]

Shadow Step [~] | Where Winds Meet - zilliongamer

Consume Endurance to dodge backward and unleash several waves of sword energy that bounce between nearby enemies. The damage of the sword energy decreases by 20% with each bounce, down to a minimum of 50% of its original damage. Within 3s, you can press again to floor up with Sword - Dash.

Vagrant Sword (Charged) [Hold R]

Vagrant Sword (Charged) [Hold R] | Where Winds Meet - zilliongamer

Consume Endurance to dodge backward and unleash several waves of sword energy that bounce between nearby enemies. The damage of the sword energy decreases by 20% with each bounce, down to a minimum of 50% of its original damage. Charge level increases over time, boosting the damage and range of the sword energy.

Heavy Attack [R] Perform up to three heavy longswords.

Combos:

Combo 1: QQQ + Hold R

Combo 2: ~ + ~ + QQQ

With Sword Morph inner way, you can unleash three waves of sword energy when using our Combo 1 method.

Pros:

  1. Output high burst damage with QQQ.
  2. Q skill is great for chasing targets.
  3. Hitting combo 1 right can help clearing enemy camp quickly.
  4. Deal high normal attack after QQQ.
  5. QQQ shields can be crucial in any close call moments against the enemy.

Cons:

  1. Need good endurance management to pull a combo.
  2. Usually rely combo on first and normal attack after.
  3. A failed combo can consume a lot of endurance and deal less damage as expected.

Overall, this skill is great for players that like to focus on dealing high damage from range before getting in close to deal an even higher damage, although combo can be just a little hard to time it right, but it’s worth it.

Final Verdict

We’ve come to conclusion that both of these skills have their own strong points and their own weak points, but Strategic Sword might just have a little edge on Nameless Sword, just because Strategic Sword combo is easier to do, continuous bleed damage can be more useful against Boss compared to the three sword energy waves, and you don’t really have to spend a lot of endurance when using Strategic Sword, so there you go, In my opinion I think that Strategic sword is better than nameless sword.
