The best foregrip for most players in Wardogs is the AFG Angled Foregrip. It unlocks at Medic 11 for $10,000, cuts spread by 22% (second only to the Shift Foregrip at 24%), reduces horizontal recoil by 25%, and speeds up both aiming and weapon swaps. If your main problem is vertical recoil, the TDG Vertical Foregrip is the better choice: it cuts vertical recoil by 30% and unlocks through Wardogs level instead of a role level.
This guide covers every foregrip, the Hybrid Grip Pod and all eight bipods using Season 2 stats. It includes full stat tables, a combined ranking, prices, unlock requirements and a recommended unlock order.

How to Read the Stats
- Vertical recoil, horizontal recoil and spread: a negative percentage reduces the stat, which is better. A positive percentage increases it.
- ADS time: a negative percentage means you aim down sights faster. A positive percentage means slower.
- Equip speed: a positive percentage means faster weapon swaps. A negative percentage means slower. A dash means no change.
- Unlock: Infantry, Medic, Support and Recon are role levels. WD is Wardogs level.

Foregrips Ranked by Recoil and Spread Reduction
This ranking adds the vertical recoil, horizontal recoil and spread changes together with equal weight. A positive vertical recoil figure counts against the total. It ignores ADS time, equip speed and price, so use it alongside the breakdowns below.
| Rank | Foregrip | Combined Reduction | |
Angled Tactical Foregrip | $650 | From the Start | - |
Rubberized Ergonomic Foregrip | $540 | Infantry 11 | $7,500 |
AFG Angled Foregrip | $800 | Medic 11 | $10,000 |
CQR Tactical Front Rail Grip | $950 | Infantry 14 | $10,000 |
RK6 Tactical Foregrip | $380 | WD 15 | $7,500 |
45° Angled Foregrip | $640 | WD 33 | $15,000 |
Mini Angled Foregrip | $680 | WD 38 | $12,500 |
RVG Tactical Foregrip | $720 | Infantry 38 | $25,000 |
Shift Foregrip | $840 | Infantry 48 | $30,000 |
TDG Vertical Foregrip | $820 | WD 58 | $25,000 |
The TDG and the Shift are separated by one point, so the better pick depends on which stat you need. The TDG puts its strength into vertical recoil. The Shift spreads its strength across horizontal recoil, spread and handling.
Foregrip Breakdowns
AFG Angled Foregrip
The AFG is the strongest foregrip you can unlock without a long grind. It gives -22% spread, -25% horizontal recoil, 15% faster ADS and +10% equip speed, and it costs $800 with a $10,000 unlock at Medic 11. Its weak point is vertical recoil, where it only reduces the stat by 6%. It suits players who control vertical kick on their own and want tighter spread and faster handling. Compared with the Shift, it gives up 2 points of spread and 4 points of horizontal recoil, but it has slightly faster ADS and unlocks far earlier at a third of the unlock cost.
Shift Foregrip
The Shift has the best spread (-24%), the best horizontal recoil (-29%) and the fastest equip speed (+15%) of any foregrip, plus 13% faster ADS. Its vertical recoil reduction is small at -8%. The cost is the unlock: Infantry 48 and $30,000, the most expensive foregrip to unlock. Because it leads the AFG by only a few points in most stats, it is a late upgrade rather than a priority.
TDG Vertical Foregrip
The TDG has the highest combined reduction at 62 points, driven by -30% vertical recoil. It also gives -15% horizontal recoil and -17% spread. It is the only top-ranked foregrip that slows you down, with +10% ADS time and -8% equip speed. It unlocks at WD 58 for $25,000, so it does not depend on slow role levels. Choose it for weapons with strong vertical kick, and skip it if you rely on fast aiming and quick swaps.
RVG Tactical Foregrip
The RVG is the most balanced foregrip in the top four, with -25% vertical recoil, -13% horizontal recoil, -19% spread, 10% faster ADS and +7% equip speed. It costs $720 and needs Infantry 38 plus a $25,000 unlock, which puts it in the slower part of the role progression.
Mini Angled Foregrip
The Mini Angled is close to the AFG for spread and horizontal recoil, at -20% and -23%, with 14% faster ADS and +10% equip speed. It has only -5% vertical recoil. It unlocks at WD 38 for $12,500, which makes it the best spread-focused option that runs entirely on Wardogs level.
45° Angled Foregrip
The 45° Angled has the fastest ADS of any foregrip (-17%) and +13% equip speed, with -18% horizontal recoil and -18% spread. It raises vertical recoil by 5%. It unlocks at WD 33 for $15,000. It suits players who value handling over recoil control, though the AFG has better spread and recoil numbers.
Other Foregrips
- CQR Tactical Front Rail Grip: -30% vertical recoil, but only -3% horizontal recoil and -9% spread, and the slowest ADS of any foregrip at +15%. It unlocks at Infantry 14 for $10,000 and is mainly a vertical recoil option for early levels.
- Rubberized Ergonomic Foregrip: -18% vertical recoil, -7% horizontal recoil and -16% spread, with slight handling penalties (+2% ADS time, -2% equip speed). It unlocks at Infantry 11 for $7,500.
- RK6 Tactical Foregrip: -15% vertical recoil, -8% horizontal recoil and -15% spread, with +10% ADS time and no equip speed change. It has the lowest price at $380 and unlocks at WD 15 for $7,500.
- Angled Tactical Foregrip: available from the start with -16% horizontal recoil, -16% spread, 12% faster ADS and +9% equip speed. It adds 2% vertical recoil. It is the best free option.
Best Foregrip by Playstyle
- Spread-focused builds: the Shift (-24%), AFG (-22%) and Mini Angled (-20%) are the top three for spread. The AFG is the easiest to unlock.
- Vertical recoil control: the TDG and CQR both give -30%, followed by the RVG at -25%. The TDG is the better choice if you also want some horizontal recoil and spread reduction.
- Fast handling: the 45° Angled has the fastest ADS, and the Shift has the fastest equip speed. The AFG is strong in both.
- Early in the progression: the Angled Tactical is free, the Rubberized Ergonomic unlocks at Infantry 11 and the AFG unlocks at Medic 11.
Unlock Difficulty
Role levels past level 20 take much longer to earn than the levels before it, while Wardogs level rises more quickly. That changes which foregrips are practical to unlock.
| Route | Foregrip |
No unlock needed | Angled Tactical |
Role level 20 or below | Rubberized Ergonomic (Infantry 11), AFG (Medic 11), CQR (Infantry 14) |
Wardogs level | RK6 (WD 15), 45° Angled (WD 33), Mini Angled (WD 38), TDG (WD 58) |
Role level past 20 | RVG (Infantry 38), Shift (Infantry 48) |
Recommended Unlock Order
- Use the Angled Tactical Foregrip while you level up, since it costs nothing.
- Unlock the AFG Angled Foregrip at Medic 11. It is the best foregrip available before the slow role levels.
- Add the TDG Vertical Foregrip at WD 58 if vertical recoil is your main problem, or the Mini Angled Foregrip at WD 38 if you want another spread-focused option that does not need role levels.
- Unlock the Shift Foregrip last, only if the extra points of spread and horizontal recoil are worth the Infantry 48 requirement.
Hybrid Grip Pod and Bipods
The Hybrid Grip Pod is the only non-foregrip underbarrel with full stats in our data: -12% vertical recoil, -10% horizontal recoil, -6% spread, +10% ADS time and -2% equip speed. It costs $1,500 and unlocks at Support 50 for $50,000. Its spread reduction is far below the best foregrips, so it is not a strong choice for spread builds.
The eight bipods have no exact percentages listed yet. The effects below are the descriptions we have for each one.
| Bipod | Price | Unlock | Cost | ADS Speed Increase | Spread Reduction | Recoil Reduction |
SKS Bipod | $810 | Recon 7 | $10,000 | Strong | Strong | Moderate |
SVD Bipod | $1,120 | Recon 14 | $10,000 | Strong | Strong | Strong |
PKM Bipod | $1,350 | Support 17 | $25,000 | Strong | Strong | Strong |
SV98 Bipod | $1,250 | Recon 21 | $17,500 | Strong | Strong | Strong |
M249 Bipod | $1,050 | Support 24 | $50,000 | Strong | Strong | Strong |
M14 Bipod | $1,480 | Recon 29 | $25,000 | Strong | Strong | Moderate |
EVO-3 Ultra Bipod | $1,450 | Support 33 | $75,000 | Strong | Strong | Strong |
Pro Tilt Bipod | $1,400 | Recon 46 | $50,000 | Strong | Strong | Strong |
Only the SKS and M14 bipods are listed with moderate recoil reduction. The other six are listed as strong in all three areas, so their prices and unlock requirements are the main difference between them.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best foregrip in Wardogs?
For most players it is the AFG Angled Foregrip, because it combines -22% spread and -25% horizontal recoil with faster ADS and equip speed, and unlocks at Medic 11. The TDG Vertical Foregrip has the highest combined recoil and spread reduction (62 points) but slows ADS and equip speed.
Which foregrip has the best spread reduction?
The Shift Foregrip, at -24%. The AFG Angled Foregrip is second at -22%, followed by the Mini Angled Foregrip at -20%.
Which foregrip is best for vertical recoil?
The TDG Vertical Foregrip and the CQR Tactical Front Rail Grip both reduce vertical recoil by 30%. The TDG also reduces horizontal recoil and spread by more, but the CQR unlocks earlier at Infantry 14.
Is the Shift Foregrip worth the unlock grind?
For most players, no. It leads the AFG by 2 points of spread and 4 points of horizontal recoil, but it needs Infantry 48 and a $30,000 unlock, while the AFG needs Medic 11 and $10,000. The Shift makes sense as a late upgrade.
Is there a free foregrip in Wardogs?
Yes. The Angled Tactical Foregrip is available from the start, with -16% horizontal recoil, -16% spread and 12% faster ADS.
