MAAWS is by far the best anti-tank launcher that you can unlock in WARDOGS. It’s lock behind level 20 support and here are the quickest ways to unlock this weapons.
How to Unlock MAAWS as Builders
Let start with player that don’t really like to get into constant gunfight. For you guys, the best way to level up support are: Building drill, gates, CRAM (Vanguard CIWS), and SAM (Talon 9K-SAM).
Tip: At the start of the match, you don’t need to buy small hammer, when your teammate place down fob, there are a medium hammer that you can get for free and you can start building gate with medium hammer. When you see player with big hammer place down Drill, CRAM, or SAM, go and help them build, you will get more support xp.
Another way to get support xp when building is the unload pallet supplies into FOB when your driver drop them. You should do this after your base have enough protection.
Now after you reach level 8, you will unlock the Large hammer by yourself, from here on out, you can build a secret FOB that is far from your teammate FOB, deliver build supply pallet and ammo supply pallet and start building SAM or CRAM turret to counter all the hostile little birds, or if you want to be passive builder just build 3 or 4 drills and delivery fuel supply and start pulling when you team is losing in the hot zone.
From here on out, for builders who want the MAAWS it’s up to you to build as much as you can and provide support to your teammate by either aggressive (Anti-Air) or passive (Pulling Hot zone will drills), if you good with Mortar, you can support xp by bombing the enemy base too.
How to Unlock MAAWS as Shooters
Now for all the shooters who want to unlock MAAWS, starting from Level 1 is to use the MP43 12 guage shotgun get as many kills as you can per run inside the hot zone to get those double support xp per kill. Build the lightest loadout, run around creating chaos in hot zone, but just know that the MP43 is a double barrel shotgun which will reload after 2 shots.
Now when you reach support level 10, you can swap to use the M500 pump shotgun instead it offers better range, more ammo per reload, and when you reach carrer level 41, you can unlock the 12 guage slug which allows you to 1 or 2 shots medium range target as well.
Running shotgun for around 5 to 10 games depend on how many kills you got per match will level your support xp to level 15. From here, you can keep using the shotgun or you can swap to the M249 SAW LMG.
If you decide to switch from shotgun to the M249, just know that your playstyle will also change too, the M249 is heavy, slow, and you will not have the bipod yet when you unlock it, you will now change from the aggressive run n gun to a passive prone and spray playstyle.
Find a good cover where you can lay down suppressive fire for your teammate, and try to hit all the targets, you don’t really need to kill them since hitting them will give you kill assist support xp once the target got kill by your teammate.
So just lay down, do a short burst at the target, if you kill them nice, if you don’t switch to another target and repeat the process.
Once you reach support level 18, you will unlock the M249 bipod, and now you can lay down and do a full spray with minimum recoil. You are now 2 level aways from the MAAWS and you have the best gun to grind for it.
It took me around 4 days to unlock the MAAWS after support level 10, I mainly use the Slug pump shotgun, then I switch to the M249 with two 100 round magazine and find a good location that I can just lay down and suppress firing behind my teammate.
Once you unlock the MAAWS you will no longer be harass by the Humvee because you can one shot and blow up the car when hitting from the front, and the same apply to enemies little bird on the sky, you just need to have decent aim and understanding of where the bird gonna go and predict it path.
You can also use the MAAWS to go out and hunting the artillery tank as well when your team is getting rain on by the arty tank. Just grab a kodiak, load yourself with 3 ammo and go and hunt them.
