New player tends to get a little confused with the control when they play their first or two games of Mortal Kombat 11. Me too, we all starting somewhere from the bottom, but I've noticed some mistake and when I correct it, I can say that I become much better than the first 3 or 5 games.

Mortal Kombat 11 is a 2 Directions Fighting Game Explained
Always keeps in mind that Mortal Kombat 11 only has 2 directions in every match you've played.

Why it is so important to know this? Because once you know it you won't get confused with the control anymore.
If you check the move list of each character in Mortal Kombat 11 they will tell you the button that you can use to execute it on your enemy but what they didn't tell is that you need to know where you facing to press the right button.
Scorpion special moves: Spear.
Now you know that when you press the following buttons your character will execute Spear special moves. But no, you're wrong. What if your character facing right? will the commands work? No, you cant.
The execute commands will change to →←□ when your character facing right.
Note: The execute commands for all abilities will also change when your character changes the facing direction.
To be more clear for you here is a picture showing how it works:
Scorpion executes a special move spear when facing right.
Scorpion executes a special move spear when facing left.
Now that you notice the difference of the control when character facing changes you should also know that this is affected to all abilities of all characters.
